Important Information

At the Serene Sound Sanctuary, your comfort & wellbeing is our priority.

Sound Baths are generally safe and deeply relaxing, however certain conditions may require additional awareness or guidance before attending. (Please see below)

General Guidance for all Attendees

To ensure a safe and supportive experience:

✨ Listen to your body at all times
✨ Adjust your position for comfort
✨ Take breaks if needed

By attending a session, you confirm that you are responsible for your own wellbeing and will listen to your body at all times.

Please do make me aware before attending if you have any allergies or sensitivities to incense, essential oils, or scented candles (these may occasionally be used)

Pregnancy

Sound baths are gentle, but during pregnancy — particularly in the first trimester —
the body can be more sensitive to:
Vibrations
Deep relaxation states
Emotional shifts

It is recommended to:
Consult your healthcare provider before attending
Inform me in advance
Ensure you are comfortable and well-supported during the session

Epilepsy

Sound baths are not recommended for individuals with sound-induced (auditory) epilepsy, as the use of immersive frequencies, vibrations, and layered tones may trigger seizures. Due to the unpredictable and intensive nature of the auditory stimuli, participation is not recommended.
Individuals with any form of epilepsy should seek medical advice before attending a session.

Sound Sensitivity/Highly Sensitive Individuals

If you identify as highly sensitive or have sensitivity to sound, you may experience:
Heightened awareness of vibrations
Emotional responses
Occasional overstimulation

 To support your experience:
•Inform me in advance
Position yourself further from the instruments
Bring earplugs if preferred
Allow yourself to step out if needed

Sound baths can still be beneficial, but it’s important to honour your own comfort levels.

Hearing Impaired or Deaf People

Sound baths are not only experienced through hearing, but also through vibration felt within the body.

Many hearing-impaired or Deaf individuals may still benefit from:
The physical sensation of sound waves
The calming environment and stillness

You are encouraged to:
Position yourself closer to instruments if comfortable
Communicate any needs in advance

I aim to create an inclusive and supportive space for all experiences.

Metal Plates, Implants or Medical Devices
Sound vibrations may travel through the body and interact subtly with areas where there are:
Metal plates
Joint replacements
Implants

While generally safe,
some individuals may notice:
Increased sensation
Mild discomfort in specific areas

If this applies to you:
Please inform me beforehand or during if needed
Adjust your position if needed
Trust your body and step out if anything feels uncomfortable

Mental Health Considerations

Sound baths can guide you into a deeply relaxed and introspective state, which may:
Bring emotions to the surface
Create a sense of vulnerability
Heighten internal awareness

For individuals experiencing:
Severe anxiety or panic disorders
PTSD
Depression (in certain stages)
Psychosis or dissociation

 It is recommended to:
Seek professional advice before attending
Inform the me where appropriate
Prioritise your emotional safety throughout

You are always free to pause or step outside at any time.
